Vancouver's Dan Mangan came away with this year's Alternative Album of the Year JUNO for his excellent Oh Fortune AND the JUNO for Best New Artist of the Year even though this is his third album since 2005 and was nominated for a 2009 Polaris Award!
Dan Mangan grew up listening to Nick Drake and the Beatles. If his music is imbued with the emotionalism of the famed British folksinger, he was also influenced by the Beatles' style of original arrangements. Which explains the comparisons with bands like Bon Iver.
The Festival welcomes Canada's great indie folk singer Dan Mangan for what promises to be one of this year's most popular shows!
