For a dozen years, female orchestra, author, composer, performer, part-time producer and DJ Ariane Moffatt, has been exploring multiple zones of contrast: organic vs synthetic, cerebral vs visceral, aerial vs tangible and even English vs French. But there is one zone this native of Saint-Romuald near Quebec City and recipient of a dozen Félix awards refuses to explore, and that’s the comfort zone. Listening to her 5 magnificent albums, from Aquanaute to 22h22, the conclusion is that she simply wouldn’t know how.
