Sunrise and Good People benefit from the special affinity that’s been developing between its two founding members since childhood. Globe-trotters Éric Bolduc and Xavier Auclair incorporated the influences they gleaned abroad into the music of Sunrise and Good People to create a genre the group dubbed rock-tribal-electronic. The term takes on its full meaning when you listen to the band’s latest album, Closer to the Flame, released earlier this year. The exoticism of the Montréal trio clearly sets them apart from the rest of the current indie-rock scene.
