The Tegan sisters and Sara Quin, very recent recipients of three Juno Awards, succeed in maintaining the "indie" feel that has stayed with them from the beginning, even though they’ve been climbing the charts since their album The Con (2007). This phenomenon can be explained by their constant determination to keep their integrity regardless of new directions they take, like their dance-pop shift in Heartthrob , released last year. And who could have predicted that Tegan and Sara would one day be sharing the stage with Lady Gaga? Today, the combination is perfect.
